Three functions – four buildings
An urban ensemble
New building ensemble comprising city library, youth centre and event space
2019-2022
Three new functions form a new future district centre. The result is an ensemble of distinct building volumes assigned to the district library, youth centre and event space functions with their own entrances and dedicated open spaces. The library, event space and neighbouring school can be spatially connected, resulting in a variety of synergies for future use. The interior highlight is the large staircase that connects all floors of the library, which characterises the atmosphere of the three-storey space as wooden ‘furniture’.
